In 1958, AO developed the Flight Goggle 58, now known as the Original Pilot Sunglass (or OPS) for the U.S. Air Force. More than 45 years have passed and the AO Original Pilot Sunglasses remain the top preference of pilots due to its maximum protection, optical performance and comfort. In fact, American Optical Original Pilot Sunglass was honored to be the first ever sunglass to be brought up to the moon with the crew of the "Eagle" lunar landing in 1969. It was subsequently featured in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. American Optical Original Pilot Sunglasses are performance-tested sunglasses with classic aviator styling. AO Original Pilot Sunglass has been a favorite of US military pilots for more than 40 years.

fine sunglass, disappointing service

I have owned a few pairs of cheap pilot sunglasses before and i like the style, these particular glasses seemed like a good value for the price, but i was really disappointed with the service, I ordered them with the intent to have them before moving to college and given my shipping estimate should have received them with a few days to spare. It took an extra two weeks almost and an email asking where they were before they showed up at my parents house where i had to have them shipped a second time at my own expense to receive them. The short of it is, if you dont mind waiting and having to follow up with the seller its a great savings otherwise it isn't worth it

Great product and great seller

I have been wearing cheap, big-box store bought aviators for a looong time now and figured it was time to upgrade.These look super cool and the 52mms fit my face perfectly (I am a woman with a heart shaped face). I like polarized just to get the extra protection as well. they also came with a really nice carrying case which I appreciate.I also sent an inquiry to the company since I hadn't received updated shipping information and they answered immediately.All-in-all, good experience and would recommend to friends and family since there are a plethora of sizes, frame & lens colors to choose from.
