Stylish and great-value alternative
By Sono
These sunglasses have pretty wide coverage. The bolded top part of the frame at times can cover my eye brows if worn high enough, the bottom end of the lens is supported by the bottom of my cheeks. I do consider myself as having a bigger than normal head. The entire frame is given a black glossy finish.Pros:+ Polarized lens. Makes it very hard for light to blind you. Driving with these on under the summer Sun is delightful.+ Exclusivity. I have yet to see another person with these sunglasses on. I didn't want to be a part of the Aviator/Wayfarer crowd.+ Very scratch resistant. It's been over 8 months since buying these glasses and I've dropped them once. Still no visible scratches.+ Large snap case case is given. The same one shown here (...)+ Steel hinges give some flexibility to the ears of the sunglasses.+ Lenses are very clear, the tinting is fairly dark.Cons:- Very prone to finger prints, especially the lenses.- Polarized lens does make it hard for me to read off my car's GPS, this has to do with the direction of light that comes from the screen. Other things like my computer monitor and the TV are unaffected.- Heavier than average pair of glasses. Not much of a con for me because it's a given that glass lenses and a metal frame will be heavier than plastic.- Leaves my face imprinted with the bottom of the lenses and nose-bridge cushion.- No cleaning cloth given.

Almost ...
By CAPage
Have had several Smith Optics in the past and love em all. These are sharp sunglasses, great real glass lenses. Just very disappointed in the frames, would have been 1000x better if the frames were made of metal and would have really added to the look and stability of these glasses. Compared to my Smith Optics Vectors, which you could run a truck over they were so solid .. these are a good bit more delicate. Almost seems the weight of the glasses are off with the heavier glass lenses and the lightweight plastic frames ... when you sit them down, extended or folded, they easily roll over forward on the front of the lenses, so have to be really careful with that.

I LOVE them
By Dan
These are very stylish sunglasses. I'm glad they aren't too big, but not too small either. The frame is made of metal and plastic, which makes them light and very comfortable (along with the quality nose pads, self adjustable and made of soft silicon). The plastic is shiny and a fingerprint magnet, but it's ok.As other reviewers said, the lens are VERY high quality. But i was surprised because the "Polar Gray Green" version is actually pretty dark and black, when you look at the lens from the outside. The picture on this site is not very accurate because it's made in a very bright area (or with the use of camera flash). You would think someone could see your eyes when wearing them, but this is not the case (at least with the polar gray green version). Also, the price is good, if you compare it with other brand name sunglasses.
